Biography

I am a strong atheist who left religion behind at age 19.

I had heard a lecture by the Nobel Prize-winning physicist Dr. Richard Feynman a couple of years earlier (in Auckland, New Zealand, 1979) on Quantum Chromodynamics, when he answered a question from the audience on where 'God' fitted into all of this. He started to answer along the lines that religion and science were non-overlapping disciplines, but then said "Dammit, actually there is no god!" and explained that physics was so accurate that there was no gap for any supernatural explanation to fit into.

It took a couple of turmultuous years of personal exploration before I called myself an atheist. Since then, my atheism has only become stronger.

Check out my website (Cyberguy’s Atheist Resources Page - http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/~edmin/Pamphlets), where I have created some pamphlets and mini-posters, etc, as free atheist resources to use as you see fit.

I am currently in the process of writing a satirical book called "The Complete Encyclopedia of the Evidence for God". Most pages are blank! The idea is that when debating with a fundie you can pull out this book, and make a great show of looking up their pet topic in the Table of Contents or the Index, turn to the page and say "Nope, no evidence!".

There is a prelimanary draft of this book on my website to view - don't forget to read the Introduction and Conclusion sections. It will be possible to buy this inexpensively (probably a little less than $US10.00 not including postage) on Amazon in the near future. Let me know if you would buy it as a joke purchase for yourself or a friend !!!
