PostHeaderIconGrain is bad for you?

Just found this on FB:

http://www.marksdailyapple.com/why-grains-are-unhealthy/

He must be right - look, he's got anecdotal evidence:

"From personal experience..."

Plus he talky good science:

"Toxic anti-nutrients"

My warning bells went off as soon as I realised that he's got super-secret information as yet undiscovered by the _entirety_ of mainstream science. For sale.

It looks like junk to me...

PostHeaderIcon Grains/Dairy Bad?

I can see that this guy is a fruit-loop, and that his 'science' is non-existent. He's out to make money by pushing a load of propaganda.

Having said that, I am participating in a six-week trial of the Paleolithic Diet with before/after blood test and support of my Doctor. The Diet cuts out grains and dairy.
I've never noticed any overt problems with grains, or dairy in my diet, and ate both plentifully 'til now.
So far, a week in, I'm finding that the massive increase in veggies (because I need to eat way more to make up for the lack of easy carbs in grains) appears to be having a pretty positive effect on my general wellbeing. The thing is, I suspect that I'd probably feel the same I just upped my fruit & veg to this level anyway.

People on this regime, may in fact expereince significant benefits, but the driver for those benefits may have little to do with the things that are taken out, rather it's because of what's been added. i.e. The whole 'bad grain', 'bad dairy' stuff may be spurious.
